I am in no way associated with the Metropolitan Opera or any of the performers' or workers' unions involved in the dispute there. I am just a girl who loves opera and loves the Met, and wants to see both the art form in general and that institution in particular thrive for years to come.

I have no access to any insider financial data from the Metropolitan Opera. All numbers I use in my estimates come from reports released by the Met or the unions. I have tried to cite all sources. If my numbers seem inaccurate (or my estimates seem unrealistic), I would welcome corrections.
